Kevin made a surprise appearance at our dinner last year. We all loved getting the chance to see him and talk with him. Later in the evening, he got his guitar out and, played several of his wonderful songs. It was such a special time for his fans to be able to visit with him in a private setting. We are all praying Kevin will be able to make it here again this year.
The motels are filling up quickly, so don't hesitate to make your reservations soon. It's going to be another wonderful Rendezvous and I am looking forward to meeting many of you that I have talked to online. Plan for a very relaxing weekend filled with good food, good company, and good times. While your waiting...........PLAY SOME SKINNER!
Kevin Skinner will be performing an "unplugged" benefit concert for St Joseph Catholic School in Mayfield, KY on Sat., Feb 26, 2011 at 7:30pm.

The benefit concert was fantabulous! Thanks to Jeremy McKeel for his super skills in making the live webcast a success. It was so fun to "be there" and be home at the same time. The live chat added something extra special to it all and it was great being able to watch the show and talk to everyone.
I will be sending a check out to Michelle Sharp on Monday for the donations collected during the webcast. The donation button will stay up on MKS for the next month to give everyone a chance to donate if they can. Please be generous because you are giving to a great cause and helping out in a way that is very useful to Abby and her family. It truly does take an Army to do what needs done!
I will figure out what to do about getting DVD copies of Kevin's performance and will let everyone know as soon as I can. Thank you all so much for joining the webcast last night and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
Tune in Saturday at 5pm CST (give or take a few) for a special LIVE webcast performance. Kevin is doing a benefit concert for Abby Mott at Lovett Auditorium, Murray State University. We are fast approaching the Holiday season and the weather is beginning to turn colder. Kevin has an early Spring gig coming up March 8-13 at The Riverside Resort & Casino Celebrity Theatre in Laughlin, NV. If you are out in the West please try to catch one of his shows while he is there.
Kevin performed 5 spots on the Telethon of Stars in Paducah, KY this past weekend and it was great! He and his band really ROCKED OUT and everyone had a good time. There are videos of his last 2 performances in the forums here so go check them out. We have Rey Saplala, the videographer of MKS, to thank for those great videos. The Telethon raised $420,884 for "Clients of the four centers, one in each state. Easter Seals West Kentucky in Paducah; T.L.C. of Southern Illinois; Community Developmental Services (CDS) in Martin, Tennessee; and Easter Seals Southeast Missouri. All of the centers deal with disabled children and adults, with CDS focusing primarily on adults. All of the money raised by the telethon goes directly to these centers." All the artists were great and Kevin he was happy to do it.
More news coming soon...................................
I hope everyone had a good Kevin Skinner Day! A year ago we were all sitting in front of our tv's anxiously awaiting the announcement of the winner on AGT. Even though we were convinced it would be Kevin's name that was called it still made us leap for joy the instant Nick Cannon shouted out the name KEVIN SKINNER! Tears of happiness for Kevin and his family ran down countless faces that night and the American dream was alive and well in the USA once again.
This past year has been an exciting one and many good things have happened in Kevin's career and life. His debut cd is being well received and has given us all a glimpse of his song writing ability with all original music, a gutsy move for an up-and-coming artist, with a handsome reward in rave reviews from the music critics.
Then came Kevin's music video release on
CMT.com, another testament to his touching personality and awesome music. We are
starting to hear his songs on the airwaves more and more. Kevin has played large venues
and had the opportunity to front for such names as George Jones, Charlie Daniels, Jo Dee
Messina, John Michael Montgomery and others. He's been on the road and playing gigs all
over the central and eastern part of the country. Kevin's music is now available for download
online at iTunes and all the other major music sites. It has been a very busy year for Kevin yet
he still manages to take part in charity events and fundraisers.
Kevin hasn't changed, still the sweet humble caring man that he was before he set foot on the
stage at AGT. If you have ever attended one of his performances you know that he is always
available to his fans after each show and has a way of making you feel like you are the only
one in the room when you are talking with him. Kevin truly deserves all the good that comes
his way and appreciates everyone who supports him with his music.
Exciting things are coming soon for Kevin and his fans........stayed tuned and let's all take
the "Long Ride" with him!

sure had a great time this year and enjoyed Kevin's surprise appearance.

WOW! What a weekend it has been for many members of this website. We held our first Annual MKS Ozark Mountain Rendezvous in Mountain View, AR and it turned out to be a very exciting and fun time. Kevin Skinner made an appearance along with Gerald Smith and John Daughaday. They came to the restaurant where we were holding the initial "meet and greet" dinner and then came on to my house for a great visit. Kevin played his 12 string guitar and sang 3 songs for us in the living room. He sounded so wonderful! Was such a joy being able to see Kevin and hear him live in a private setting. He sure knows how to keep a good hold on his true-blue fans hearts. Thank you so much Kevin!

Needless to say, the MKS members who came talked about nothing but Kevin the rest of the weekend.......well ok, we did talk about alot of other stuff too. The bonds of friendship that have formed over this past year on MKS are even stronger now than ever! Was so much fun getting together face to face and chatting, laughing, and eating.....A LOT! A plan is coming together for next year's event, and April is the month we are shooting for. More will be announced later so stay tuned........

This year is going along nicely for Kevin. He is in the studio recording his debut cd. He's
finally getting to work on some original songs and we are all excited about that. Once the cd
is released Kevin Skinner will be going on tour so we will all have a good chance to see him
perform live. That will sure be a treat!
Let's all make sure Kevin's debut cd goes thru the clouds and let's help him make music
history by being a break-out artist that achieves platinum status right off the bat! Get ready to
pre-order his cd and support him in any way possible.
I'm still waiting for Kevin's concert tour schedule. I'll post it as soon as it's available.
We all helped vote Kevin Skinner as the winner of AGT, now let's push him on top!!!
Exciting things are in the air for Kevin. The new year will begin with his shows at Foxwoods in Conn from Jan 17th thru Feb 7th. Kevin will go into the recording studio the first part of March to cut a cd. We've all waited almost a year for this and I have no doubt the stores won't be able to keep enough on hand since Kevin's fans will be snapping them up.
Kevin's official website is coming along very nicely and they have posted video's from the
guitar presentation and lots of other cool things. Go check it out. There's a link to your left.
I get alot of emails asking where Kevin will be performing. As soon as his schedule is available I
will post it up. Something tells me he will be doing ALOT of traveling this year.
Please join us in the Forums, that's where all the fun and banter take place. You never know
what this family is going to be discussing but whatever it is, you will have a good time while there.
WOW! Is the year already gone? It has passed by so quickly. What a year it has been too. I've been able to meet so many new friends, not to mention getting to meet Kevin. I never would have dreamed that would happen when I started this website. Such a joy to be able to be there when he was presented with his new guitar and the other wonderful things my peeps put together for him.
It's been a year of tremendous change for alot of people. It's also been a year of a whole new family coming together in support of one man, Kevin Skinner. The bonds that have been created because of him are so great and will be something to cherish for the rest of our lives. Amazing still how one man can have such an affect on so many people after just a few minutes on tv. Kevin has taken this Country, and many others, by storm! I can only imagine how people will be touched with the release of his debut cd this coming Spring. Hold on to your record books cause this one is gonna blow the lid off the charts!
I very much am looking forward to all that is to come in 2010. Kevin will perform at Foxwoods in Conn. from Jan 17th thru Feb 7th. I'm sure the East coast will welcome him with open arms. Let's hope there is a tour coming this year so more of us will have the opportunity to see him perform in person. May each of you have a safe and Happy New Year..........PLAY SOME SKINNER!!!!!!!!!
The store is beginning to be up and running. One product is up now and many more will be to come. A few more products should be added tonight or tomorrow morning. Feel free to stop by the Online Shop.
The guitar presentation has been set for Wed., Dec 9, 2009, 4:30pm, at Allen Music in Paducah, KY. Our very own Rey and Shannon will be presenting Kevin Skinner with his new Rainsong Black Ice guitar and a couple of other very special gifts from mykevinskinner.com fans.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed. It's been so much fun doing this fund raiser. We started it on Oct. 1rst and as of today we only need about $190 more to make it a reality. Thanks to Joy for all her lovely items donated and sold on ebay to push this fund skyward. Ya'll are simply THE best fans Kevin could ever hope to have, each and every one of you. We will guit-ar done!
The ebay auctions were a HUGE success. Thank you for all the active participation! This really helped take the guitar fund to the edge of completion. A big THANK YOU to Joy for all of her donations. Kevin could not ask for better fans! Dedication and the "Joy" of giving is bringing this goal to full circle. The next step is pinning down a date for the presentation which I am working on now. We are gonna guit-ar done very soon!
Well, the little Painted Ponies did marvelous on ebay. Thank you all for bidding on them and you really helped raise the guitar fund totals up alot. It was fun to do that!
Lily is still recovering and seems to be doing pretty good overall. We are missing her alot.
Kevin and Kristen are still posting up alot of pictures on their facebook pages and we enjoy seeing what all they are doing out in Las Vegas. Kristen's mom arrived out there yesterday and will stay thru Sunday, according to Kevin. I'm sure they are both very glad to have her visiting and I'm betting she is enjoying herself.
Julie Grizzard, a reporter at the Mayfield Messenger, wrote a real nice article about the website and the guitar fund that appeared in yesterdays paper. We all want to thank her for her hard work on that.
We have a new phrase on the Forums....we just call it "Skinner Miracles". Come join us to learn what that is all about. Our family is growing steadily and we are always happy to welcome new members!
Hey ya'll........
I received the gorgeous Painted Ponies from Joy today and I got the listings up on ebay. These are some really beautiful items and would make a great Christmas gift for anyone. Go check them out and start spreading the word to all your family and friends. Here's the links:

We have managed to raise $1350 toward our goal as of right now. This total includes mail in donations I have received to date. It has been 17 days since we began so we are doing very well indeed. WE WILL DO THIS! Our dear Lily is still in the hospital, please raise her up in your prayers. It has come to my attention that McAfee doesn't like the site too well and is giving folks the old "unsafe site" message. If you use McAfee you might want to add the site to your "safe" list to get rid of that annoying message. Not much I can do about it from my end. Kevin and Kristen are having fun out in Las Vegas. They are both posting on their facebook accounts pretty regularly and we are all enjoying reading what they have to say. They are also posting pictures and those are GREAT! Thanks to them for caring about their fans. We love you guys!
The Guitar Fund is doing quite nicely considering it has only been 2 weeks today since it began. I have every confidence that we will achieve our goal. Folks please remember, EVERY SINGLE DONATION helps tremendously! It sounds like Kevin and Kristen are having a real good time in Las Vegas. There are great stories in our Forums from his opening night and alot of other cool stuff. Please join in the fun with us. Our Bio writer, Lily, is in the hospital right now. Please pray for her speedy recovery along with us. We miss you Lily! Until next time..............PLAY SOME SKINNER!
Ok everyone.......Let's show Kevin Skinner some love by getting the Guitar Fund rockin' & rollin' today. This is a great way to give back to the man who has given so much of himself! We want to see tears of joy streaming down Kevin's face when we present him with this gift. (I know I will be crying) Yeah, it's hard times right now for everyone, but "it's our time to shine". We love you Kevin!
Kevin and Kristen commented on the Guitar Fund......join and read our Forum for his words to his fans on this website.
We all have to admit, Kevin Skinner has given us all a wonderful gift with his talents. He has touched the hidden places in our lives in a way that we all thought was lost in the day to day muck of life. He has brought out feelings deep within our hearts and brought tears of joy to our souls once again. He has given of his heart in a way that makes us FEEL and stirred dormant emotions within us all. Kevin is the long lost Great American Dream!
We at this website feel the strong desire to give back. We have recently learned that Kevin has wished for a particular guitar for some time. Yes, he may be able to purchase this guitar now, but let's not forget that we, as his fans, have somewhat of an obligation and that is to lend a helping hand to the best of our abilities. After careful consideration, and alot of talk, we decided to start a fund to be used for the direct purchase of the guitar Kevin would like to own. You will see the Kevin Skinner Guitar Fund info posted at the top of most of the pages on this site.
What may seem a silly gesture to some, it is our small way of giving back to the man who has brought so many people together and given all of us a reason to dream again. I doubt Kevin will be able to pick one string on this guitar without thinking about how much people truly care for him and we all know what a nice feeling that is. If you can donate any amount, please help us give Kevin Skinner those feelings....................
Tonight was the big "send off" party for Kevin Skinner in his hometown of Mayfield, KY. I sure wish I could have been there for it but simply could not go. I hope some of this sites fans got to make the show and enjoy Kevin without all the "glitz" and "garble" of AGT. I'll be posting up video's from the party as quickly as possible, as well as some pictures, so look around on the site while your here. Looks like Kevin received the keys to the city tonight, had a highway named after him AND Sept. 26 is now the official Kevin Skinner day. He must be feeling pretty good tonight. Kevin leaves for Las Vegas tomorrow to prepare for his shows at Planet Hollywood from Oct 7 thru Dec 13. We wish him all the best and alot of us will be fortunate enough to see him in Vegas. What a ride it's been so far......................
Even though Kevin's song choice for the finals show tonight was a bit different, he still totally ROCKED THE HOUSE! We are all looking forward to seeing him win on Wednesday's AGT. The video of tonight's performance is up on the Music page, more pictures have been posted on the Photo's page and the Forum is buzzing with activity. Please visit all the pages of the site and have fun while your here. VOTE and pray for Kevin to win it all!
Tonight is the big Top 10 performances on AGT. Everybody line up your voting methods and get more people to vote. Unsure how to vote? Register on our Forum and a link to the rules is located there. This is the show we have all been waiting for. Don't miss your opportunity to support Kevin Skinner!
We are working on the problems as I type this. Pretty soon you should start seeing these problems going away. As far as we know they only affect Internet Explorer versions earlier than IE8. If you are having problems on other browsers or think that your problem is unique no matter what browser you are running, please post in the technical area of the forum so that we can fix the problem quicker.
And Kevin rocks the world once again on AGT! What a beautiful rendition of "Always On My Mind". So happy that his family members were able to be there for him on this performance. Kevin now moves on to the finals and the excitement builds as he works his way toward the top. He has never ceased to amaze us with his songs and holds us all captive with his humble diplay of sweetness and charm. What a truly good man. Let's all keep VOTING, he is depending on us!
It seems that some of you are having technical problems with this website. We are aware that there is a problem if you use Internet Explorer browser. Please try loading the site using a different browser. If you still have a problem, please post in the Technical thread of the Forum area so we can address your individual issues. We can't help if we do not know the specific problem you are having. Thanks!
We hear Kevin has been doing alot of fishing lately. Great way for him to relax before things heat back up again. More power to him, he needs it! We are all waiting for his next appearance on Sept. 1 and praying he will knock 'em dead. Mark your calenders and let's get ready to VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
Well the show was a bit disappointing for most of us tonight since Kevin Skinner was not on it. I think it will be awhile before we see him perform again. America must trudge through the rest of the acts until we have our top 20 for the semi-finals. I can hardly wait to listen to Kevin Skinner's lovely music once again. Let's keep posting, talking and promoting Kevin in the meantime.
It looks like the forums have taken off nicely. Thank you all for taking the time to post there. AGT will be back on tomorrow night. I am assuming that Kevin will not be on tomorrow's show since the voting is still in the semi-final elimination stage and we all know Kevin has already conquered that hurdle. Would be nice if they would let him do a song on the show to keep their ratings up for this week. LOL I'll be the first one to admit, I was wrong, I honestly felt like AGT would hold his performance until the last of the 4 semi-final elimination episodes to keep us all guessing. I truly would like to know what the voting numbers were last week for the show. If anyone knows how to find this info out, PLEASE let me know.
Until next time, PLEASE keep posting (everywhere) and let's show Kevin Skinner how much help we can all be to him!
I just posted a new Channel 6 News video on the music page that has an interview with Kevin's wife and sister from tonight's broadcast.
The bio page is on the navbar, and shortly there will be some content to complete it.
Once again, Kevin Skinner stole our hearts last night on America's Got Talent. His look had changed a little (I miss the ballcap myself) but his deeply sincere and emotionally honest voice was firmly intact and melted our hearts one more time. The video of his latest performance is on the Music page.
I had to miss the show tonight but I have uploaded the video from NBC titled "Kevin Skinner's Fate" and he made it on thru. YEA! GO KEVIN!!!!
